Quakes on the Range - Oklahoma's Fault(s)
Here in Oklahoma City, the recent earthquakes (as high as a record-breaking 5.6 at their epicenter) only registered as litlle 'ground-hiccups' ... I wasn't sure whether to crouch into an 'earthquake-safety pose' ('holding the doorframe up') or yell at the kids next-door to turn down their stereo's bass!
But the lead article in this week's Oklahoma Gazette (a newsletter provided by all the good local-establishments in Oklahoma City ... go to http://adf.ly/1O4FR to see the rest of the Oklahoma Gazette's recent work) alerts us to the sudden increase in Oklahoma seismic activity (activity of two faults I didn't even know existed in Oklahoma!)
